Design With Us: Bringing Dreams to Life

At Valija, we’re all about celebrating creativity and building an amazing community. That’s why we launched our super exciting “Design With Us” campaign, and it was a total vibe. We sent out a memo across the whole company, inviting everyone to unleash their inner designer and submit their design sketches. The mission? To bring one lucky winner’s dream design to life and have them join us every step of the way!

The submissions were outstanding, but one design totally stole our hearts. Drumroll, please… The winner is Cathyleen Perez, our talented Assistant Store Brand Manager from Mayagüez! Cathyleen’s design, the Patria Jumpsuit, is EVERYTHING. Named in honor of her grandmother, this jumpsuit is chic with a touch of nostalgia.

From the first sketch to hitting the stores, Cathyleen was hands-on, choosing colors and prints to bring her vision to life. And who knows how a Valija Girl wants to dress better than a Valija Girl herself? The whole process took around two years, but the wait was so worth it! The Patria Jumpsuit features sleek lines and cool thoughtful cutouts that truly make it a standout piece. We’re super excited to share the whole journey with you! Diseña Con Nosotros: Haciendo Realidad los Sueños

En Valija, nos encanta celebrar la creatividad y construir una comunidad increíble. Por eso lanzamos nuestra emocionante campaña “Diseña Con Nosotros”, ¡y fue todo un éxito! Enviamos un memo por toda la empresa, invitando a todos a sacar a pasear a su diseñador interior y enviar sus bocetos de moda. ¿La misión? Hacer realidad el diseño soñado de unx ganadorx y que fuese parte de cada paso del proceso. 

Las propuestas estuvieron brutales, pero un diseño en particular nos robó el corazón. La ganadora es Cathyleen Perez, nuestra talentosa asistente de gerente de la tienda de Mayagüez. ¡El diseño de Cathyleen, el Patria Jumpsuit, lo tiene TODO! Nombrado en honor a su abuela, este jumpsuit es elegante con un toque de nostalgia.

Desde el primer boceto hasta llegar a las tiendas, Cathyleen estuvo metida de lleno, eligiendo colores y estampados para dar vida a su visión. Y, ¿quién mejor que una Valija Girl para saber cómo quiere vestirse una Valija Girl? Todo el proceso tomó alrededor de dos años, ¡pero la espera valió la pena! El Patria Jumpsuit presenta líneas elegantes y cutouts pensados que realmente lo hacen destacar.
